Turn left here signposted Guern. After about half a mile you will come to a multi junction, the drive way to Moulin de Niziau is on the right hand side, with hardwood gates. It is the first property you will come to on the right along this lane.
From Niziau to Guern
At top of drive turn right
Proceed to first junction (crossroad at St. Soloman) turn left
You will enter Guern after approximately 2 miles
There is a small shop with most food items required, including bread and wines
The Bar on the right hand side is excellent for a cheap “plait de jour” at lunchtime.
From Niziau to Guemene sur Scorff
At top of drive turn right
Proceed to first junction (crossroad at St. Soloman) turn right
Proceed to next junction (crossroads) turn left
You will enter Guemene sur Scorff after approximately 2 miles
If you take the first turning left into Guemene at the start of the dual carriageway, and proceed to the roundabout, you will come to a large supermarket and petrol station. The town centre hosts all shops, banks, hotel and an excellent creperie
From Niziau to Pontivy
At top of drive turn left
Proceed to first junction (crossroad ) turn right
You will enter Pontivy after approximately 9 miles
On reaching the Bridge at Pontivy, you can turn right, then left at the market square to reach the high street (rue Nationale), or continue following the river where you will come across a number of lost cost stores and supermarkets
From Niziau to Langoelen
At top of drive turn right
Proceed to first junction (crossroad at St. Soloman) turn right
Proceed to next junction (crossroads) turn left
Continue past Guemene sur Scorff (on the bypass) to the T junction.
Turn right at the T junction, and immediately right again.
Continue on this road for about 3 miles and you will reach Langoelen.
On entering Langoelen the first Restaurant on the right. “Le Pitzeria” is excellent for lunchtime “plait de jour”, or “ Le Musee” which is about 100 metres further on the left .
From Niziau to Seglien.
At the top of the drive turn left.
Proceed to the crossroads, and go straight across.
You will enter Seglien after approximately 4 miles.
There is an interesting Creperie with attached Art Gallery immediately on the right when you enter Seglien.
From Niziau to Quelvan
At top of drive turn right
Proceed to first junction (crossroad at St. Soloman) turn left
You will enter Guern after approximately 2 miles.
Continue through Guern, passing the Church on your right hand side.
After about 2 miles you will reach a crossroads at the top of the hill, with Barnacles bar on the left ( owned by English, they do fish & chips etc to take away or eat in).
Turn right at this crossroads.
Our other property, a large Neo Breton house, will be found on the left, just before the right hand bend.
Quelvan is about 100 metres further on.
There is a magnificent Cathedral, which is always open. An Hotel / Bar / Creperie, and a Bar / Creperie.
