Moulin de Niziau, Brittany, France (view the slideshow)
Located in the rural heart of Brittany, Moulin Niziau offers a relaxing holiday experience within its own beautiful grounds.

Moulin de Niziau is a pretty 16th century Stone built Cottage and separate converted Water Mill, set in 5 acres of idyllic private grounds, which has a trout stream running through it, a mill pond and large lake stocked with Carp. A rowing boat is available.

It is a peaceful haven for wildlife, which include otters, red squirrels, stoats and various uncommon species of wild birds, such as buzzard, sparrowhawk, nuthatch, and kingfishers, which makes this the ideal setting to escape and relax.

Situated in the in a quiet hamlet in the heart of Brittany, approximately 2 hours from the port of St. Malo.

The small town of Guern is 2kms drive, where you can find a Bolangerie and several bars. There are two more large lakes here and a small park with children's play area. Pontivy is about 15 mins drive, an historic town with Chateau set on the river Blavet, and it boasts numerous good restaurants, many shops, a market day and a number of supermarkets and shopping centres.

Guemene sur Scorff, 12kms drive, is an old town with shops, an excellent Creperie, a market and a Supermarket. 25kms away at Mur de Bretagne, is a superb Lake with artificial beach and water sports. The coast is also within easy reach.

Accommodation.
Cottage:  Sleeps six   plus baby (cot available upon request), comprising of three double bedrooms (one with superb antique French bed).

A large Lounge / Dining Room with a comfortable suite seating 7 adults, dining table and chairs, digital satellite TV, video, DVD, CD player and log burner set in an inglenook fireplace.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with a gas cooker and hob, microwave, fridge,  washing machine, kettle and toaster.

There is a bathroom and WC on the first floor, with a second WC on the ground floor.

The ground floor ceilings are beamed and some of the interior walls have exposed natural stone work.

There is a private patio overlooking the river, with garden furniture and barbecue.

Mill House: Sleeps 2 x plus 1 x and baby (cot available upon request). A quaint stone converted Water Mill, comprising of  1 x large double bedroom on the first floor, with antique French bed and sitting area, en suite shower room with WC. 

A single foldaway bed and cot are available upon request.

The ground floor is open plan, consisting of a fitted kitchen with gas hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, dual microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a dining table and chairs, comfortable suite, Satellite TV and video, and corner fireplace with an attractive log burner. The ceilings are beamed and views extend over the mill pond to the private lake, with the mill stream running directly below the side window.

There is a  private patio with garden furniture and bench seat to the rear of the property with a wonderful view over the lakes, a barbecue and logs can be found in the nearby barn.

Le Maison de Quelvan is a large modern property built in the Chateau style. It is a very grand and spacious property, ideally suited to host a large party of people, such as two families.

It consists of seven large bedrooms, three of which are on the ground floor, two bathrooms, two toilets, fully fitted kitchen with breakfast area, a very large lounge with open fire, and a large entrance hall with marble floor and staircase to the first floor.

There is a further utility area in the cellar/garage, which is accessed from the hallway or side garage door. The property is currently decorated in a very French style. It is situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Quelvan, which hosts a spectacular Cathedral, an Hotel with Creperie and bar, plus two further bars/restaurants.

The houses of Quelvan are all stone built, and form a very beautiful and tranquil setting, bordering the forest of Quelvan and spectacular countryside. Quelven is a lovely historic village with a huge pilgrimage Basilica church, famous for its organ concerts during the Pontivy Music Festival. It is a hamlet with ancient houses. Quelvan is situated 10 kilometres south west of Pontivy, 40 kilometres north of Vannes and 110 kilometres from Rennes and ideally located in the heart of Brittany.

Within a short distance of the property is a riding school, golf course (Golf du Rimaison) and the River Blavet where boat trips, canoeing, cycling and walking along the towpath can be enjoyed.

The property is located 40 minutes drive from the beaches near Vannes and from Lac de Guerledan, where you will find a full range of water sports available. Beaches 50 minutes away by car. Nantes is 2.5 hours, or Dinard airport 1.5 hours. The nearest airport is Rennes which is approximately 80 minutes away by car. The Ports of St Malo 1.75 hours, Roscoff 2 hours or Caen 4.5 hours.

A car is essential, but you will find that car rental is widely available at all ports and airports. Budget flights to Rennes, Lorient, Dinard and Brest are now available.

Twenty five kilometres away at Mur de Bretagne, is a superb Lake with artificial beach and water sports. The coasts of both North and South Brittany are also within easy reach. For those who enjoy fishing, there are a number of privately owned carp lakes and numerous rivers in the area.

Accommodation.
Ground Floor: Double entrance doors lead you to the large entrance hall, with doors leading to the kitchen and lounge, a hallway to the ground floor bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC, and a door with access to the very large garage/cellar area.

Lounge: With separate access from the kitchen, large picture windows, and French doors leading to a patio area and garden. There is a large open fire, SKY TV, DVD player and music centre. The room is well furnished, with dining area and comfortable sofa’s and chairs.

Kitchen: Is well fitted, with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a small breakfast area with table and chairs.

Bedroom 5: Double bed and built in wardrobe, window has views to rear garden and open countryside

Bedroom 7: Is normally set as a study area with double desk and bookcase, but can be arranged as a bedroom upon request.

The property is set in just over 1 acre of pretty gardens, set to lawn with flower borders. Garden furniture and Barbeque equipment is provided. There is parking and garaging for several cars.
